What Is Esports Betting and Why Is It Growing in Popularity?
Esports, or electronic sports, has grown rapidly into an entertainment and competitive industry recognised worldwide. In Malaysia, interest in competitive video game matches is nothing new — from local Mobile Legends teams to international stages like The International for Dota 2.
Esports betting at mct88 lets you place bets on match outcomes, winning teams, round scores and more. Unlike conventional sports betting, esports runs around the clock with a packed match schedule — meaning there are always opportunities to bet, day or night.
mct88 lists a wide range of markets for matches from major leagues including ESL Pro League, ONE Esports Championship, Valorant Champions Tour, and many other high-profile tournaments followed by Malaysian esports fans.
💡 Getting Started Tip: Follow the latest news about your favourite esports team before placing a bet. Player performance, team composition and head-to-head records are key factors in making more informed decisions.

Betting Approach
Understanding Odds and Basic Esports Betting Strategy
Unlike games of pure chance, esports betting gives players who genuinely follow the competitive scene room to make decisions based on information. The odds offered by mct88 reflect professionally calculated probabilities — knowing how to read them is an important foundation.
Odds in decimal format (example: 1.75) mean that for every RM1 you bet, you will receive RM1.75 if you win — including your original stake. Lower odds indicate a more favoured team, while higher odds reflect a team less expected to win but with the potential to return more.
A few things worth considering before placing a bet: the team's recent record, the presence of key players, an overly packed match schedule, and the tournament format (best-of-1, best-of-3 or best-of-5). A team that performs well in longer formats may perform differently in a single-map match.
⚠️ Reminder: Esports betting involves risk. Set a daily or weekly spending limit for yourself and never bet more than you can afford. mct88 supports responsible gambling practices.
